Richard Hunt: Evolution of an American Sculptor Online

During his long career based in Chicago, artist Richard Hunt (1935-2023) designed more than 150 sculptures for public display in 24 states. Hunt was also the subject of the first retrospective of an African American sculptor at MoMA. Jeff Mishur returns in this Zoom lecture to discuss Hunt’s evolution as an artist and position his work within the context of 20th century sculpture.
