Wednesday Fiction Group: Fire Exit

Wednesday Fiction Group: Fire Exit In-Person

Judy Levin will lead a book discussion of Fire Exit by Morgan Talty. The novel follows a white man raised on a reservation as he faces the real-life consequences of the Maine Indian Claims Settlement Act, in which blood quantum laws were passed; a mixed-race person with less than 25% Indian blood could not remain on the reservation once that person reached adulthood at the age of 18.

All are welcome. This program will take place in the Forte Room on the ground floor of the library. Register as soon as possible so that the library can locate a copy of the book for you.
