Chicago's Greatest Buildings with Ellen Shubart

Chicago's Greatest Buildings with Ellen Shubart In-Person

Home to many innovative architects and builders, Chicago boasts buildings that over the years have been deemed the world’s tallest, largest, or most beautiful. Ellen Shubart will discuss the 82 greatest Chicago buildings, from masonry load-bearing structures that went up after the 1871 Chicago Fire to today’s sustainable skyscrapers. Ellen is a teacher, journalist, and city planning advocate and is currently a docent for the Chicago Architecture Center. Copies of her new book, Chicago’s Greatest Buildings: Skyscrapers, Landmarks, and Hidden Gems in the City of Architecture, will be available for purchase and signing.
