Storied Stuff: Show and Tell for Grownups (Part 2) In-Person
What's your most cherished keepsake from childhood or beyond, and what's the story behind it? During the early days of the pandemic Sharon and Steve Fiffer created storied-stuff.com, a website where fellow writers and non-writers alike could share stories and photos of their prized possessions--from bronzed baby shoes to Beatles autographs and more.
In celebration of the site's fifth anniversary, the Fiffers have published two paperback collections of stories from over 200 contributors. At a very popular library event in July, contributors to Storied Stuff: Show and Tell for Grownups, Volume One read their stories. Now, an entirely new set of contributors with Glencoe ties to the newly published Volume Two will present their poignant, often humorous pieces on objects ranging from model trains to charm bracelets to Woodstock tickets.
