Author Event with Marisa Silver

Author Event with Marisa Silver In-Person

Join us for an evening with Marisa Silver, who is on tour for her new novel At Last (Simon & Schuster, published September 2025). Set in midcentury America, At Last explores a rich family saga centered on two fierce and competitive matriarchs whose intertwined lives reflect the complexities of family, tradition, and personal ambition. Marisa will be joined in conversation by author, essayist, and Glencoe resident Sally Schwartz. "Alive to what soars within so-called ordinary life and told in prose which exhilaratingly pursues and seizes the truths of marriage and family, At Last is an astounding achievement." -Megha Majumdar

Our fiction book group will be discussing At Last on Wednesday, January 21, at 1pm in the library. Learn more and register here.

Marisa Silver is the author of the novels At Last, The Mysteries, Little Nothing (a New York Times Editor's Choice and winner of the Ohioana Book Award for Fiction), Mary Coin (a New York Times bestseller and winner of the Southern California Independent Bookseller’s Award), The God of War (a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for fiction), and No Direction Home.
