About the film: Winner of the 2026 Best Documentary Feature Oscar, Mr. Nobody Against Putin presents us with unlikely protagonist Pasha, 33-year-old teacher and event organizer, a beloved mentor, prankster and nonconformist at the Russian school at which he works. After his country’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Pasha is shocked to see the school become a tool of state propaganda and military recruitment. In the guise of his school’s videographer, he documents a reality very much at odds with the official state version of events.
