Bee Gees, Saturday Night Fever & Disco In-Person
Disco had its origins in small, urban dance clubs but absolutely exploded into the mainstream American music culture in the mid 1970s thanks to the film Saturday Night Fever starring John Travolta. Around the same time, a Beatles-adjacent pop band called the Bee Gees reinvented themselves and became disco superstars. Gary Wenstrup returns to explore the pop-culture moment that reshaped our nightlife, dancing, fashion and music.
