Real vs. Fake: How to Navigate the News and Media with Confidence In-Person
How do we decipher what is fact and what is spin? It can be hard to tell at any time, but it can be especially challenging during an election cycle. Reference librarian Rachel will present an overview of tools that can help identify bias in broadcast and print information and how to locate and use basic fact-checking resources. She'll also discuss types of information (including misinformation and disinformation) and how they can affect our understanding.
