 Claire Keegan\, Small Things Like These takes place in the Irish town of 
 New Ross during the approach to Christmas 1985. Cillian Murphy plays coal 
 merchant Bill Furlong\, a hardworking and well-regarded father whose 
 deliveries take him to a local convent\, where he witnesses the possible 
 mistreatment of a young woman\, one of many unwed mothers taken in by the 
 powerful institution. Interspersed are flashbacks to Bill’s own painful
