SUMMARY:French Influences on Chicago Architecture
DESCRIPTION:What do Buckingham Fountain\, the Michigan Avenue Bridge\, and
the Tribune Tower have in common? They are all inspired by structures in
France! Architectural historian Laurie Petersen will show us examples of
Gallic influence all over "Paris on the Prairie\," ranging from
mansard-roofed houses to Art Deco skyscrapers. Take a virtual stroll on
"Boul Mich" and beyond\, to see our city à la française.\n\nRegistration
required. A recording will be available for a limited time to those that
 register for the program.
