The American House: From Simple Shelter to Sublime Style (Part 2)

The American House: From Simple Shelter to Sublime Style (Part 2) In-Person

Through the Depression, WWII, the post-war boom, and beyond, the single-family house has become increasingly dominant in American culture. Boosted by the largest middle class in history. the majority of Americans came to own and live in their own detached domiciles, in a variety of styles, most of them in ever-expanding suburbs. Although challenged by recent economic factors, the American Dream of homeownership perseveres. Join architect and cultural commentator Joseph Madda for Part 2 of his American House series, which covers 1900 to the present.
