Sanders, film historian and writer, for a screening and discussion of Summertime, David Lean's sublime, bittersweet love story and love letter to Venice. Shot entirely on location, the 1955 film was Lean's (The Bridge on the River Kwai, Dr. Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia) personal favorite of the films he directed.
