Glencoe's Annual Lights the Lights Festival

Glencoe's Annual Lights the Lights Festival In-Person

Head downtown the day after Thanksgiving and join in the fun! The library will be open 5-7 p.m. for a festive children's craft in the Johnson Room and a sensory (low-stimulus) room in the Hammond Room for anyone who wants a quieter space. Many thanks to the Glencoe Council for Inclusion and Community for helping staff the event. No need to register--just drop in!

This year's Light the Lights event starts at 5:00 p.m. with a lighting ceremony on Wyman Green followed by live music by Rosie and the Rivets. A Winter Village (on Tudor Court and Writers Theatre) will feature photos with the characters of Frozen and photos with Santa. There will be trackless train rides through the downtown, a kids' carnival ride, holiday shopping, a tunnel of lights connecting Park Avenue and Tudor Court, hot chocolate at Hometown Coffee and Juice, and booths, activities and food vendors. More information is available here.
